Solid spruce top and solid maple back and sides.  Neck, including the scroll are made of solid maple as well.  The manufacturer noted that woods for 600 series basses are specifically, "selected and aged."  German, 'Rubner' machine heads.

I'm moving out of the area and can justify keeping it.  The instrument shows some wear (anyone who plays uprights knows that they get bumped from time-to-time.)  The bass itself was purchased new for $3,750 (not including the accessories).  I'm the single owner and haven't used it much.  It was originally a NAMM show instrument from the same year.
